Full Job Description

Cygnus is a high quality precision sheet metal and machine parts manufacturing company looking for an experienced Business Development & Marketing Manager and/or Deputy Manager. This position will support the new business market and sales initiatives of Senior Management and specifically grow the company’s customer and sales base through existing and new customer development.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Expand existing and new customers markets and sales in a consistent growth manner base on our long-standing reputation of Customer Rapport, Quality, Price, Delivery and Attention to Detail.

Develop, service and maintain new and existing client relationships, ensuring all sales opportunities are acted upon.

Marketing to customers which will require travel.

Analyze and report on competitors and industry specific markets.

Successfully manage complex leads.

Evaluate Cygnus’s capabilities and capacity to meet customer needs.

Review bids and job costing for manufacturing processes.

Perform regular analyses of Customer program, costs, bids, performance.

Review contract terms and conditions. Clearly communicate any changes or conditions management or team members may need to know.

Participate in development and implementation of business development strategies.

Position requires Specialized Education/Experience/ Skills and/or Knowledge:

Education – College degree in Engineering preferred.

Two years sales and/or marketing experience preferred.

Aerospace sheet metal or machining background preferred.

Effective communication skills to interface between customers and the Cygnus team.

Experience in estimating and job costing for manufacturing processes.

Superior customer service skills required.

Knowledge and use of marketing techniques.

Valid Driver’s License.

This is a full- time day shift position working 7am - 3:30pm M-F
